Guide To Installing A Stove

In this section we will explain the different ways in which you can install your stove. We will explain step by step how to install a stove into an existing chimney, installing into a chimney using flexible liner or installed using twinwall insulated pipe.

Installing A Stove Into An Existing Unlined Chimney

The most basic of installations. Installing a stove into an existing chimney without the use of flexible liner or clay liners should only be attempted if you have had your chimney tested for leaks or cracks. It is always recommended that you line the chimney with a flexible liner because it will protect the brick work in the existing chimney and will ensure that you have a sealed chimney system which is safe and effective.

Installing A Stove Into An Existing Chimney Using Flexible Liner

This type of installation is favored by most installers. Flexible liner will ensure the life of your chimney is maintained. Flexible Liner heats up extremely quickly and ensures that the draught is up to a maximum very quickly. Flexible liner holds a 10 year guarantee against corrosion. At Woodburner Warehouse we only use 904/316 grade of flexible liner which has a higher anti corrosion system to the the lesser quality flexible liner some of our competitors use.

Installing A Stove Using Twinwall Insulated Pipe (Internal)

For households that do not have a chimney in the room then this is the alternative way of installing your Woodburner. This type of installation mainly uses Twinwall insulated pipe which is suitable for passing up through ceilings and roofs. Twinwall pipe is also great to use as it vastly reduces the distance required away from combustible materials.

Installing A Stove Using Twinwall Insulated Pipe (External)

For households that do not have a chimney in the room then this is the alternative way of installing your Woodburner. This type of installation mainly uses Twinwall insulated pipe which is suitable for passing through an external wall and then up the side of the property. Twinwall pipe is also great to use as it vastly reduces the distance required away from combustible materials. Double Insulated flue pipe is also great because it is well insulated and ensures that the flue gases inside the flue stay warm to ensure the gases leave the chimney system efficiently.
